TJ/YJ Trailing Arm Mount Kit

Trailing arms have been used in the off road industry for over a generation and are finally making their way into the trail scene! More travel, More dynamic tuning, Less clutter on your axle, and an all around better ride when you smash that skinny pedal! 

We decided that what the DIY world needed was an overbuilt, straight forward, trailing arm mounting system to fit on your TJ or YJ frame. This is intended to be used with Full Width Axle setups. Fits 2-1/2" wide Frame Rails.  This yields a 57" on joint center rear trailing arm width.  Feel free to ask us about our flange center rear trailing arm brackets that allow for a wider than bolt flange lower mounting system. 

The main body is a strong 5/16" thick steel with 3/8" joint housing brackets. Top plated with .25" to box in the entire assembly. Weld washers and gussets provided extra strength. Holes incorporated for easy access to trailing arm bolts and for use as a body mount location if desired. Mounting brackets can be rotated slightly to make joint width changes at axle. Brackets fit a 2-5/8" wide joint with a 1" bolt.  

NOTE! This setup is designed for a 48" trailing arm and wraps the top of the frame for ease of location. This lip can be cut off to splay the rear wider or narrower. You will need to remove the center body mount. This is designed around a 3-6" wheelbase stretch minimum. The inner frame angle of the TJ and YJ are utilized to make the final trailing arm angle. This does locate the arm on the frame center, Not below. This allows for clearance and skid angle of the trailing arm itself. We highly  recommend pairing this with our DIY trailing arms, Anti wobble Joints, and Competition Heims (available soon) designed for use with this exact setup.
